Speaking of Romero's Resident Evil, it sucks that his vision of the game was rejected by Capcom. What could have been a fantastic adaptation was pushed out for a generic action film starring the director's mary sue wife as the main protagonist.

@lightningbarer It's in the script, maybe read it before critiquing the artist who's merely adapting it. And Chris isn't black here, he's Mohawk, which was a choice made by George Romero because he found the Redfield surname sounded Native American.

An adaptation that isn't based directly in the source material's timeline isn't breaking any canon to speak of.

Also, how's about you go make some fully fledged graphic novel adaptations of old film scripts if you think you can make far better artwork? Right up there with the moon brains harassing the creature FX team on Twitter over RE Netflix's plot.

Go somewhere else. Just telling you why things are the way they are is because that's factually how decisions were made on this script. Also, I did say Native American, I initially used Mohawk to be specific, as the script/comics choose to be on the matter if you'd read it and not just assumed he was black.

Oh, yeah, and I still say you should make your own art, if you wanna shit on someone else's so badly... But as you just clarified, it's easier for you to just read something else. I didn't virtue signal shit, you were the one coming in here freaking the fuck out over simple skin colors in what was otherwise a scrapped project. On the note of wanting 100% accuracy in an adaptation, by definition, an adaptation will never be a 1:1 experience... Want that true RE game feeling? There's a game you can play for that.
