I like the story so far, with it's potential for crazy situations. With the long introduction changes and influence of circumstances are much more apparent.
By the way, if somebody cried for some time, their voice will sound husky like they had a cold. It quickly goes away, but in confrontation with PE teacher it would also work for interpretation. It sort of tipped the following official excuse.
