Exactly my thoughts (well, except the joke). If the heads were a bit bigger these would have been perfect.

I like this proportion. Though it looks akward, I kinda get the artistic approach; esspecially regaurding this artist's ... erm, other works X3

Chaos1745 says he finds the figures' disproportion hilarious, while zzyzzyxx says they're beautiful nonetheless. I say that he, I, and everyone else who likes this artist's work, likes it specifically BECAUSE of their disproportionality. Look up "supernormal stimulus" to see what I mean.

When I once tried drawing stuff, my first big deal was exactly the same head-body disproportion.
You really have to practice to get a feeling for proportions.
