This is the original one-shot before the series got serialised, and the story is quite different. Synopsis:

Takeshi wakes up one day to a cute shinigami, asking him to name his dying wish. Luckily for him, she's new at the job, and messes things up. Now, instead of being dead, he makes a team with the shinigami Kiriko and helps grant the last wishes of people who are dying.
