For those wondering, it APPEARS that the mother was a famous reporter working on unmasking some sex slave ring by going undercover and resulted falling victim to it and "disappearing." Someone with a better understanding of the language can be more specific.

furujiru, it's a play on a tengu mask. Tengus typically have very long noses, and there's a bit of sexual innuendo to do w/ that in Japan [just like tanookis having testicles]. To say the least, Giken literally ran w/ the 'innuendo' idea here.
