What a story! I've never thought about that at all! It's true that the future Bulma who built the time machine and gave Goku the antitode to the rare sickness he got and Trunks coming back to the past is the reason why in this timeline they are all alive and well, heck with even Bulma and Vegeta living happily together as well as Goku and his family, and the rest. So they do owe their lives and happiness to her, especially since she made the time machine knowing her own world wont be really saved by it, since they exist in a different world, a different timeline, but the unexpected was that Trunks became so strong that he handled the androids and cell in the future easily.

Wow, this is kinda touching. I hate how the actual series never delved into their relationship other than Trunks and Bra being born. If nothing else, it shows Vegeta loves Bulma genuinely.
