This story looked like it had a lot of potential when it was untranslated. Now that it's translated, the romance does seem a little contrived.

It's not the first time that the "girl ends up glaring all the time because she needs corrective lenses" trope has been used before. But I'm surprised that the male protagonist didn't bring her to an optician at the end of the story so she doesn't end up glaring all the time.

According to the Japanese wikipedia, Cuvie is a female artist, but it seems that romantic stories like these (even if the romance was a bit abrupt and could have used a little more exposition) aren't her most common-written type. It'd be interesting to see if she'll turn this into a series.
