Look, in the Dragon Quest games, there is this spell: "Puff! (also called BeDragon) is a spell in the Dragon Quest series. It transforms the user into a dragon, where they will automatically attack with Inferno until the effect wears off."

It is right that in most cases the transformation isn't shown but after casting the spell, you obtained the better stats and every turn you use Inferno to breath onto the fiend till the effects wore off. I believe that in many games it's not the MC getting this spell first but a secondary character and you need to complete some tasks to make it being available for your MC, too.

I could be wrong, but I believe this series is a parody of Capcom's BREATH OF FIRE because the MC changes into a dragon in those games. I do not recall the MC in any Dragon Quest title transforming into a dragon...thou there are several I have not played. In fact in the original Dragon Quest your job was to slay the dragon.

I stand corrected. My DQ experience mostly ended with IV, which was the last one Nintendo licensed for North America. And it's been a long, long time since I played those on NES. So my memory of those days is a bit hazy, to say the least.
