Guan Ping x Xingcai?

You do know that Guan Ping and Xingcai never met in history, right? The later games also establish that Xingcai never loved Guan Ping, only that Guan Ping had a crush on her which she never returned. All her love is directed towards Liu Shan whom the games outright state that she married him. Such as in DW7 at the Camp after Liu Bei is gone, the grunts mention Xingcai will soon marry Liu Shan and how jealous they are of him.

So Guan Ping x Xingcai was never a thing. It was always Xingcai x Liu Shan even when he was a generic in DW5.

Though I will note that this is way out of character of the Guan Siblings to torment Guan Ping. Xingcai was very out of character as well as she would have beat them all senseless as she only desired Liu Shan in her heart and wouldn't let thugs touch her let alone defile her.

Also. Why would Guan Suo settle for his sister when he has Bao Sanniang whose willing to let him do whatever he wants to her?

I agree the pairings are a little weird, especially when the "canonical" (as "canonical" as someone like Bao can be when she's a fictional character created hundreds of years later) partners have already been introduced in the games. Still, artists are free to do what they want, if we were limited to just what's "right" then we'd have a lot less doujins on this site and stuff would get boring very quickly.
