It's just the way Imizu has always drawn Udonge's ears. I'm not sure why he chooses to do it that way. Perhaps to avoid the whole issue of having to conceal the sides of her head at all time or else reveal the fact that she has four ears. Or a stylistic choice.

Amazing art and story but shouldn't Youmu be like a million times faster than bullets? Or are they using some special guns with FTL bullets in Gensokyo?
