This is freaking awesome, and actually even historically accurate, Hiyo was plagued by malfunctions after her conversion,while Junyo was the most successful light carrier of the IJN, on a side note Hiyo is scary...

Just as a historical aside: The translation (and the original, for all I know) uses "luxury liner" and "cruise ship" interchangeably, but they were not the same thing at all in the 1930s. "Cruising" as such didn't really exist back then--passenger liners were working ships, a primary means of long-distance transportation, the elite among which offered luxury as part of the package; whereas on a modern cruise ship, the luxury is the only reason they exist. Cruise ships are entirely frivolous, they're not going anywhere but back to where they started.
