Ah yes, pic #1. The Jessica Drew cover that had PC and morality champions start a shitstorm of epic proportions all across the internet.

For no fucking legitimate reason...

So you know, Manara's Spider-Woman variant is not cancelled and will be released as scheduled.

Actually, none of them were cancel in the reason that you think. Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso, who said that Manara's covers were canceled because of "a scheduling problem" rather than anything related to the Spider-Woman controversy. Alonso confirmed that Manara will be illustrating more covers for Marvel in the future

Actually, absolutely none of these are "cancelled" covers. They're all previously released variant covers for other comics; Gamora (Picture #06) was released as a variant for "Guardians of the Galaxy" #1.

#1 is shit, sorry. Yeah people kicked up a stink over nothing with it.
But that Michael Jackson face is just really off-putting. How come nobody's complained about *that*?

And NO ONE complaining about #1 makes a similar stink about the entire manga industry throwing tentacle monsters at big-eyed, underage girls. -_-

Thanks for ruining everything like you always do, feminists.

ah feminism... You're currently a body without a head contorting in every direction and no direction all at the same time.

But, while currently it benefits you to be a martyr all established organizations know that that strategy is limited. No one is currently tying you down to a mission statement or a specific goal. It is all still nicely ambiguous. 'Men are the enemy' and also 'we never said "men are the enemy"'.

The reason geek culture is being attacked is because it doesn't have the financial resources to defend itself and groups like the NFL are wealthy enough to redirect the question back in a way where the national spotlight would shine on all the holes in the argument. Careful though, you attack too long and it will come back to bite you.

Especially if you get everything you want and the question is asked "what happened to comic books?" and the answer to that ant to many other targets is that they were turned into the martyr and forced to homogenize to the point where they lost relevance, and feminism had to attack something else. Usually little boys in school who take all the attention from the girls who score higher, and go to college 75% more frequently while receiving nearly 90% of all financial aid.

Spiderman actually has the exact same pose, as the Spiderwoman cover, but on an older cover. It released 10 years ago. No one cared then. We shouldn't now.
