Clearly, in your previous 2 upload and this one, image quality is strongly decreased in order to improve compression. I does not seems to be high jpeg compression so I think it's a setting in photoshop to reduce the number of colors.
@zjunchoon: I do not know if you scan/correct images yourself or find it on the internet, but if you're doing that please stop. Otherwise transfer these insults to the real uploader if you can. Some points: 1. This technique is so 1990. I am afraid of the future of scanning. 2. This site has no 1MB/image limit. 3. If you want to keep your resolution up and want to get less colors (so less information), use png goddammit. It was created for that. Your information can be coded in grayscale, and you can manage the number of level you want. Obviously, you will have to scan it raw (TIFF and such) and convert it afterward. Converting jpeg to png will not be a good idea. Using loltoshop tools to simulate the effect while keeping it coded in jpeg is an heresy, in term of information theory.
