Such an underrated series. Too bad its so thick with mythologies, symbolism and science that it can only be appreciated in text. (The anime gutted the first volume to make it fit the format)

Actually, I read the novel before watching the anime, and the adapt looked pretty well made; they didn't butchered up the whole thing like they did with Oda Nobuna no Yabou. Would love to see more of this series made anime. Sadly, just as with many other novel adapts, there's no way to deliver all the lore and universe you can deliver with a novel using anime (unless they made over 30 episodes just to explain the world, and they'd be just info dumps). It's the very same reason of why Touhou can't have an anime; too much lore to be explained.

That said, there are nowhere near enough doujins of it; there should've been MUCH MUCH MOAR.
