TLDR
MC is the the detective guy.
He is investigating the 3 couples who leave near hired by the boss of the main heroine's husband.

Each couple are cheating between them.

The the one with glasses has the the main heroine under blackmail so he have sex as much as he wants. He is greedy.
His wife if the fluffy one but is frustrated, she is cheating with the other man because his husband is an ass so she got drunk and started an affair on that guy.
The woman with longer hair is just a slut, he got photos of his wife cheating with the husband of the main heroine. Her marriage is over with her husband, he walked away after telling her that the collar is the device for spying.
She then moves away and leaves the detector for spying devices to the main heroine which she uses later on to find out the one the detective used on her house.

Meanwhile the oldman showed the main heroine photos of her husband cheating with her boss, of course his purpose is to steal her away.
At the same time he is blackmailing the boss of the main heroine's wife because he discovered that she is stealing money from the company.
Meanwhile while trying to win the main heroine with sex she snaps and tells him to fuck off.

She sends some thugs to give him a beating for trying to be the smartass with her.

He died.

Next day she finds the oldman's wife crying and the main heroine asks if she is fine to which she gets called on for being the reason why the dead husband cheated to begin with but then left to her house.

Also the boss tried to get the husband of the main heroine into her side showing him a fuck ton of money so they could get away from there and live how they wanted.

He rejected her the next day by handing her to the police, later on the wife goes to visit her where she hears her confession from the boss herself. Her husband never cheated willingly on her wife, he just worked for the higher ups and was investigating her crimes so the affair with her was part of the greater scheme to make her confess of her crimes. She also was charged with murder.

Last chapter shows why the detective guy started this job, it started when his mother killed herself because his dad cheated on her.
The main heroine was just a person he met in the past right after his mother dead, to him she was just a good person with bad luck.

It also shows that after the old man got killed he pretended to help him so he could get the cellphone away from him with the proofs involving the husband of the main heroine.
The boss who hired him thought the oldman survived the beating because the detective used the dead man phone to send her a text.

The oldman's wife moved on and it seems she is going to remake her life with the husband of the slut woman.

Meanwhile the main couple talked about the whole story, they made up and have sex.

The detective happy with his job done and saving their marriage, left happy leaving away his job as detective by throwing his device for spying to a river.

That's why this author is amazing, he can make a good plot even with the sex in 10 chapters.

Hito no Tsuma reached a turning point as well.
