I have 3 bookmarks. 1 Bookmark finds me all the newest straight porn with tags I don't like, the second finds me futanari so I don't have to sift through everything to find it.

The third tag is for Yaoi and anything that could contain it yet not actually be 100% gay, and it has to be with shota (although if this new tomgirl tag is being posted on literally every gallery means I won't need shota tagged anymore). Anyway, the point I'm trying to get at here is... how come I can find this on my straight bookmark and not the Yaoi? Simple: there is no Yaoi tag. Why? Because there isn't all men in this doujinshi? For all those wondering why there is no yaoi tag and why it can't be tagged as yaoi, if you read the wiki page http://ehwiki.org/wiki/yaoi there is a little subtext that says "A group of mixed genders does not qualify." Now personally I think this is rather stupid as we already had the "males only" tag to cover strictly gay galleries, but apparently that is not the opinion of the staff so what can you do :/

Guess I'm gonna have to start doing separate searches for tomgirl now and sift through all the straight only galleries... =_=

Okay, "yaoi" tag aside, what asswipe vetoed the "brother" tag?

The "brother" tag definition still absolutely applies here, and very obviously at that. "Any sexual situation between male siblings."

Now, past this point, however, there is a major contradiction. The notes on the wiki entry for "brother" say that it requires that you also apply the "yaoi" tag. However, the "yaoi" tag specifies that it does not apply to sexual situations where any combination of mixed genders are involved.

So in a situation like this, where a guy fucks his brother while a girl is also involved, should not get the "yaoi" tag since there is a girl there, but it should get the "brother" tag because it obviously falls under "Any sexual situation between male siblings," which means it should get the "yaoi" tag because you're supposed to apply it whenever the "brother" tag is applied.

Someone clearly didn't think these definitions through.

How can we go around telling newbies that they should read the wiki to figure out how to apply tags when the wiki itself has clear contradictions like this one that render using it to determine how to apply tags impossible? Yeah, we can't. This tagging system is completely broken, and this is just yet another way in which it is in a long line of ways.
