Not sure why people put (ongoing) on Shadman's comics. Must cling to some hope that Shad will actually finish a comic for once. :v

Foxeye, it is the consequence of the new way of funding art. Crowd funding. Some artist just don't have the discipline to be their own boss and would really benefit from a slave driver editor.

@printzonic: You don't need a slave drive editor, it would probably be detrimental to his work due to a lack of autonomy and freedom of expression. A better solution would be to tie his payments to each separate project, rather than a patreon that pays him for the total of his work. He's the type of person that would rather start thousands of new projects rather than finish one, so he needs to be motivated to finish one. There's other ways to motivate someone other than take away his independence.

@Sharangir: Honestly don't care about the means the guy just need s to finish his fucking work. The dude is productive, but it is wasted. Had he had any direction he could have made several 40+ fully coloured mother daughter ass fetish comics... but no... Sigh. It is not like it is my core fetish or anything he is just so damn talented and it is such a shame that it is being squandered.

What you have to do is organise, get all his patron supporters on the same page and give the guy a warning: if he doesn't begin to produce finished works you'll start to reduce your monthly donations. If he insists on starting projects and abandoning them halfway, you'll remove all your support. Otherwise you are paying for a guy who produces frustrating works that make you angry not because they are bad, but because you know how much better they could be, but he just won't finish them.

Teach him a lesson, tell him to start pleasing the people that pay him or you'll cut him off. It's like if you were buying the books of a writer who starts series of novels but never finish them and start another series. No matter how good they are, after a while you'll get sick of starting a new series just to realise that it won't have an ending or a resolution of any kind. You wouldn't tolerate that, and you shouldn't tolerate this. Demand your money's worth.

Shad finish a comic? I say it once again, Shad gets right to where the fun part begins, then jumps ship to a new "hotness." We're lucky if he even decides to draw the same characters again.

Edit: Downvotes do not change that he never finishes comics.
