@severalGB like what Gin0916 posted, the whole alpha/omega thing is called the omegaverse, and it's a widely known trope within the slash community. it's loosely based on wolf pack dynamics, but in slash, the omegaverse is a setting commonly used for male pregnancy. omegas can get pregnant and they can go into "heat" (like dog heats), and during their heats they release pheromones that attract alphas to mate them (again, like dog sex). each rendition of the omegaverse is usually a bit different depending on the author though.
