A contemporary of Batman:TAS, SWAT Kats was a good series with a surprisingly (mostly) serious direction, an un-usual entry from the usually jolly cartoons of Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Productions.
It was very sad that, despite its solid fan-base popularity, the show was cancelled incomplete and without a resolutive end. :(

[EDITED}: @The Chronicler...
SWAT Kats stuck in my mind because of the reasons stated above, it was a serious-themed Hanna-Barbera cartoon apart its usual comedy-lot like the Flintstones, the Jetsons, and Scooby Doo (and many, many others); one tends to remember things that stand out (or stand apart) like that. ;)
As for having the series on DVD, the answer is "No, I do not have it." On the other hand, if I ever came across a "SWAT Kats Complete Series" at the local used-DVD store(s) I occasionally check their shelves for good buys, I would be solely tempted to purchase it... ;D .

^ Dude, what? I loved the show myself but I barely remember the characters, let alone enough of it to produce what appears to be a summary analysis...... Dude, do you have the show on DVD? Can I borrow it?
