@Loki The Flameshield: Actually, there was one episode that explained it. Team Rocket's Meowth spent months teaching himself to speak in order to impress a female Pokemon. You can probably find it on Youtube. Search something like "Meowth learns to speak"

Actually, it would probably be way cheaper to just catch your own pokemon, even a luxury ball (assuming you need high friendship) would only cost ~$50 and you can fuck it as much as you want. Which also means that the owner of this place is making huge amounts of dosh. Now I know what I'm going to do if I ever get transported to the Pokeworld.

@kingwolf @sekirei07 I know how it can talk(the reason is pretty lazy imo), what I mean is how come no one views the only talking Pokemon with any importance? You'd think Meowth would be a big deal, like everyone would want to capture him for study. Instead, everyone just kind of ignores him. If there was a talking cat, I mean a legitimate talking cat not the ones you see on youtube, I'm pretty sure people would want it for study.
