Yaoi is not my thing, I keep giving it a "chance" but doesn't tickle me in a right way. But damn these stories tickled me in the right way in the feels.
In other words, these types of stories are the reason I don't really strike anything down directly (I just basically mentally block the aspects that don't work for me).

You miss out on a lot of things if single aspects of the whole make you not give it even a chance.
