As the title suggests, this is a take on the Wizard of Oz. This first chapter features a "scarecrow". Naturally, she's dumb. If she only had a brain!

Chapter 2, in the 2016-09 issue of Anthurium, features the "cowardly lion" - a girl with a lion-themed name who is too cowardly to try to make friends with the popular girls.

The third chapter is in Anthurium 2016-10, and features a girl who "wants a heart". It's a bit more obscure than the name puns of the first two chapters, but clearly it's the Tin Man (girl).

I didn't see the original, but I'm pretty sure it went like this:
He said "yareba dekiru", which literally translates as "if you do it, you will work", or more closely "if you try, you can do it". But "yaru" (if-form "yareba") also means "do it" as in "have sex" and "dekiru" also means "get pregnant". So he said "if you try, you can do it" and she understood "if you have sex, you get pregnant".
