@blakfayt the quotation marks around "Nighty" when Chrelvet started talking in green suggests that she knew about it.

as to how she knew to refer the NMR as Night Light remains unknown, but it might be that Velvet was affected by the spell while Chrysalis was not, and with the two of them connected Chrysalis was both aware of who NMR really was as well as who she was trying to pose as, allowing her to entrap NMR.

though, yeah a double dupe would have been hilarious :P
