Complaining that they aren't escaping by using spells is fairly shortsighted since druids and wizards (rogue/wizard Imoen assumed) in D&D work on a memorized/prepared spell set with inherent variance in usefulness and like all spell casters only have a limited number of spells per day, so it's completely possible that they'd be out of spells at the time.

Given the dialogue however it's clear that isn't the case and instead the pair have a low concentration score and that anal counts as melee.

It's like neither the artist nor you guys are even here for the dungeons and dragons.

@ printzonic: A lot of people are complaining about that sentence but I think they don't understand it right. Viconia is saying: "By Lolth! Have mercy!" like we would say "By the devil! Have mercy!". She is not praying to her goddess, she is cursing.

Viconia calling to Lolth is actually a very deep character building moment. It shows how flimsy and shallow her dedication to Shar is and that she craves to get back to Lolth, calling for her aid in her greatest moment of despair. Not to mention, Shar wouldn't give a fuck, but Lolth might, from a the point of view of their respective religious dogmas. Shar is all about evil, Lolth is about drow and female superiority. A drow woman being raped by an ogre? Shar would laugh, Lolth might do something about it.
