Yeah, the new cost-saving technique is for writers to take old visual novel assets and make super cheap comics by reusing the poses even if they don't fit the story. It looks about as bad as western captions so I usually avoid them, but it could work with enough care and effort. I mean, Press Switch passed as an English eroge even though it reused assets from certain Japanese eroge.

The laziest recycling I've seen is probably, "[Aroma Comic] Onna ni Shinaide! ~Shikyuu no Kairaku... Mou Otoko ni wa Modorenai~ 3"
