I always tend to sympathize with the guys in these stories, but man do I feel extra bad for this one. Still disappointed in this chapter. I hope vol. 3 is more like the first chapter, but looking at the author twitter it seems like she’s a bit delusional. Yeah, kinda makes it even worse in a sense. Instead of just longing after her and never getting together with the female love interest, the MC actually comes really close to getting the girl of his dreams, only to have it all come crashing down and ending up TRIPLE cucked - once by the baldy who kept banging her all throughout the MC's stint at cram school, second time by the rapists who caused the group to break up, and finally by the new dude who just alpha'd his way into the love interest's pants and banged her raw literally hours after they met. It's implied that the guy at the beginning of vol. 1 is the new dude (Kazuki) because he's the only one who calls her Riho-chan. The other guys call her Iida. That page looks to be a time skip to the end of the story, so probably the next volume.

Not up to date with the author's works myself, but this definitely felt like two stories crammed into one volume with a very weird transition in the middle (the sudden festival rape part). I mean, the two male MC's are totally absent in the later part altogether and this random guy is just dropped into the story. At any rate, I'm really curious to see how it all concludes, for better or worse.

They barely do have standards, so I don't see that happening. Chino and Riho slept with two average-looking acquaintances, and an attractive stranger. But they were against having sex with those thugs who were neither trustworthy nor attractive. You need at least one of those two qualities.

Based on Chino's dejected face in the beginning of the first volume, we're more likely to see Riho pair up with Kazuki. Meanwhile, Takashi is out of the picture due to resuming baseball, and we have no idea what's going to happen to Kousei and Chino.

There are multiple lessons to learn from this story

1) Don't be a pussy and speak up your mind if something is bothering you, the MC lost the chance to fuck the girl he likes because of that in the beginning.

2) Be smart and don't just get into fights that you can't win, especially for girls that don't deserve it, or you would just get your ass kicked . The girls only started screaming long after, instead of immediately , when the rapists started beating the MC. Not to mention, they didn't resist much to the rapists or call others for help, which shows they don't really deserve to be saved.

3) Pick your friends carefully or they would let you down when the need arises.The baldy not only acted as a selfish prick when he kept fucking both of the girls by himself, even though he knew the MC was stuck at cram school, but he also kept sending him pictures as if he likes to rub his nose in it. He might be forgiven for taking the virginities of the girls as the MC did nothing to object back then, but it's unforgivable that he did nothing when his friend got beaten up or when the girls were about to be raped. Even if he is a pussy he could at least run to bring help.

4) Once a slut, always a slut. While the black haired girl acted more innocent and shy towards the MC she turned into a full blown slut just like her friend. The smart thing to do is to walk away from the sluts after fucking them as they are no relationship material. If there is I think how it might go is that Niiyama is going to help get Iida NTR, if she already isn’t, with the guy that she’s already infatuated and it might be because of the festival scene. Though I guess it's the next arc since there's only so much you can do with just the four of them that hasn't already been explored. Based on this work alone, I like the artist a lot. She can create good characters, draw very beautiful sex scenes, and keep up the tension within every scene. Most of this (but not all) she manages while keeping it as realistic as sex stories get.

When the quartet actually got started in the first volume she was rushing the story badly. Probably she felt she had no resources to draw all the pages needed for a decent setup. Also, many potential readers could abandon a good story if the first volume had too few pages with tits and pussies.

What she really needs is a good editor at an "alternative" publishing house. Somebody firm enough to tell her when she’s making mistakes and, before all, to teach her how to build up a well-paced, coherent story from her top-notch scenes, because that is what she has not mastered so far. Content-wise, she should absolutely not be pushed towards the mainstream (any mainstream). She is already maintaining a fine, refreshing balance on the border of NTR pornography and more traditional relationship drama.

Personally, I would like to see some more character development through real discussions between the characters. Even though those are lacking, I feel that we have gotten a pretty good idea of most personalities involved. The main exception is Riho Iida; we have learned little about her emotions and deepest motivations, and she keeps giving mixed signals to everybody around her. Well, yeah, based on the first volume, she sure is hornier and more curious about sex than she superficially appears to be. Still, I believe we are missing something very essential about her, and I do hope the third volume gives us some answers. (I am genuinely surprised no one had made this point above.)
